Visual management is a way to quickly communicate important information and is common for expectations, performance, standards and safety. Visual Management can be things such as line markings, shadow boards as well as the display of performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Information Centres, KPI Boards, Team Boards, etc. provide performance information relevant to an area and demonstrate how effectively a company is achieving key business objectives. This supports visual understanding of the current state of performance and what is being done to improve.
By providing area relevant performance information to teams, it allows them transparency of how they are performing and leads to ownership of their results and what needs to be done to improve. On larger sites or multi-site organisations, it allows management to also quickly understand how each team is tracking. This workshop will take participants through the different types of visual management and help the organisation to create a plan on how to implement it in their workplace.
